Nerve Blocks
A group of nerves, called a plexus or ganglion, that causes pain to a specific organ or body region can be blocked with a nerve numbing substance called a nerve block. These blocks can be therapeutic (pain relieving) or diagnostic (pain source identifier).
Nerve blocks can be used to manage chronic pain, pain after surgery, or in cases where the nerves are irritated, inflamed or damaged. They offer immediate relief and help reduce irritation to the nerves, allowing them time to heal.
